EU Sustainable Energy Week takes place in Brussels from 19 to 25 June 2017 with the theme of ‘Clean Energy for All Europeans’. EUSEW is the most important and the biggest European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues, bringing together representatives from the European Commission, public authorities, energy agencies, industry associations, businesses, civil society organisations and the media to debate policy developments, best practices, initiatives and ideas that support Europe’s move towards clean, secure and efficient power as part of the Energy Union. EUSEW is organised annually by EASME on behalf of European Commission's Directorate General for Energy.
The highlight of EUSEW 2017 is the EUSEW Policy Conference (20-22 June) in Brussels’ Schuman district (the European Commission’s Charlemagne building and the Residence Palace).
Parallel to the conference, there will be a Networking Village with exhibitions and stands, a networking area with presentations, a Speakers’ Corner with inspirational talks, possibilities for one-to-one meetings, as well as a SparkShow with project pitches. Interreg Europe will have a joint stand together with other Interreg programmes in the Networking Village (located in the Residence Palace) - come and meet us there!
The EU Sustainable Energy Awards The EU Sustainable Energy Awards will be announced on the first day of the conference at a prestigious ceremony. These awards recognise outstanding innovations in energy efficiency and renewables.
The main conference is complemented by a two-month series of events around Europe. These Energy Days will take place around Europe throughout May and June 2017. Activities will be organised by private citizens, consumer associations, public bodies, city networks, energy agencies, trade and industry organisations, businesses and NGOs to promote energy efficiency and renewables.
