Sustainable Valencia Bike Route - Discover Frugal Valencia
Come and discover Frugal Valencia
Did you know that in Valencia there are already projects that show that it is possible to live better by consuming less?
On this bike tour you will get to know spaces and groups that promote new ways of inhabiting the city: more collaborative, self-sufficient and respectful of the environment.
During the route we will visit local low-tech initiatives that promote energy saving, community life and creative repair. The itinerary will pass through Espai Verd Benicalap, Orriols Convive, Repair Café Sant Joan de Déu València, the Ayora Energy Office and will end in Cabanyal Horta, where we will share a collective meal.
What will we do?
• We will visit local low-tech initiatives that promote energy saving and community life.
• We will share experiences and learnings at each stop.
• We will have lunch en route and finish the tour in Cabanyal Horta, with the option of participating in a collective meal.
What do you need?
Bring your bike, your desire to discover, and don't forget to bring water to keep up the pace.
Important notes on participation and logistics
The CicloRuta is designed to be done by bicycle, but we understand that there may be special circumstances. If you are interested in attending, but cannot cycle that day for any reason, or if you would only like to join the route at an intermediate point (without doing the full tour), please let us know! Please indicate your location on the registration form so that we can coordinate logistics as inclusively as possible.
The route includes a collective meal in Cabanyal Horta at the end of the tour, before visiting this space. At the moment, we are managing whether the cost of such a meal could be covered by the European FEEL project. If we finally cannot assume it from FEEL, the estimated price will be € 5 per portion of paella for those who wish to stay for lunch. We will confirm the coverage of the cost and the payment procedure to those registered in advance.
