Pilot action
Adapting the EKIN+ Health Model for Healthcare Startups and SMEs in West Hungary
The pilot action adapts and tests the EKIN+ HEALTH program from San Sebastian, for the Hungarian market, testing on 5 actors (SMEs and start-ups) in the senior care sector. This GP from Spain, novel to Hungary, involves a structured accelerator program in fostering innovation and competitiveness in healthcare-related enterprises.
The 5 Hungarian companies, either existing or newcomers poised to enter the market, may face challenges with scalability, market adaptation, or financial viability. The program aims to refine their business strategies and product offerings through expert guidance, ensuring they are well-prepared for market demands.
Key focus areas of the adapted program will include:
-Usability Challenges: Validating the product's relevance and ease of use within a controlled test environment
-Scalability Challenges: Addressing obstacles to scaling operations or production, including supply chain optimization, cost management, technological upgrades, and exploring new international markets
-Market Adaptation: Helping companies navigate regulatory frameworks, achieve market fit, and enhance product design based on user feedback
-Financial Viability: Addressing challenges related to revenue models, pricing strategies, and customer acquisition strategies to improve the financial health of the SMEs
Participants will benefit from a support structure that merges the EKIN+ HEALTH program with PBN’s methodologies and technical infrastructure. This also includes interaction with the Silver Club (also a NOTRE GP) members for real-world product testing and validation.
FSS will guiding PBN in the adaptation of the accelerator program. This GP transfer is designed to enhance the competitiveness of Hungarian SMEs by introducing innovative, tested solutions to the market. Testing of the accelerator program, tailored to Hungary's ecosystem, ensures the feasibility and effectiveness of this novel approach in enhancing the regional innovation ecosystem.
