About the project
The mainline of the research follows digitalization and smart technologies for the regeneration of cultural heritage. Accordingly, the communication networks and exchange of knowledge, as well as the online accessibility and rich onsite experiences, are only a few aspects related to digital transformation in cultural heritage. Adaptive reuse is the second line of research delving deeper into new functions and meanings in post-industrial landscapes. This connects with the third line of research bringing sustainability into focus in the circular economy framework. Low carbon mobility supports the development of circular tourism, while mobile apps promote smart mobility.
